Lee County Board appoints two new members to Districts 2 and 4

Lee County Board

DIXON – The Lee County Board on Thursday appointed two new board members to fill the vacancies in Districts 2 and 4.

After the Nov. 5 general election, there were vacancies in both districts. Ryan Rod was appointed to the open seat in District 2, and Jennifer Dallas was appointed to finish the unexpired term in District 4.

Lee County is divided into four districts. In total, there are 24 County Board members, with six members elected in each district.

District 2 includes Lee Center, Reynolds, Sublette, Viola, Wyoming, Willow Creek, Alto, Ashton, Bradford, Brooklyn and Franklin Grove. District 4 includes parts of Dixon and Palmyra.

Rod will hold the seat until the 2026 general election, at which time the remaining two years of the unexpired four-year term will be filled by election.

Dallas was first appointed to the seat at the County Board’s regular meeting in June after former board member Chris Robertson’s resignation that went into effect April 19.

The seat remained vacant during the Nov. 5 election. Like Rod, Dallas will serve until Dec. 6, 2026, and the next candidate to fill the seat will be decided by voters during the 2026 general election.
