DIXON – Castor Home Nursing Inc. and the Business Employment Skills Team Inc. will hold two hiring events for positions with Castor in January.
The first hiring event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Rochelle Public Library, 619 Fourth Ave. The second hiring event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Illinois Department of Employment Security Office, 406 Ave. C in Sterling.
Castor’s talent acquisition and digital marketing manager, Shaunte Padilla, will be available at both events to answer questions and help with applications. Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume, and paper applications will be provided.
“We have positions for caregivers, CNAs, RNs, occupational therapists, speech therapists and more,” Padilla said.
Castor is a locally owned home-health solution provider offering Medicare home-health services, pediatric nursing, private-duty nursing, health care facility staffing, veterans care, personal care, companionship services and other therapies. It also sells durable medical equipment, including walkers, hospitals beds, nebulizers, scrubs and a variety of other home health care products.
“We also have our Health Institute, which is a CNA and phlebotomy school that also offers CPR classes,” Padilla said. “We also just started our nonemergency medical transportation service.”
Established in 1984, BEST is a nonprofit agency administering federally funded programs under the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act in Bureau, Carroll, Jo Daviess, LaSalle, Lee, Ogle, Putnam and Whiteside counties. It helps adults and youths gain employment through job training and search assistance.
