MORRISON – A man has been charged in Whiteside County with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and three counts of battery in connection with striking a woman’s head with a pistol and punching her in the face.
Reggie L. Kennedy, 28, for whom no address was provided, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of domestic battery, according to court documents. The aggravated battery charges accuse him of striking a woman in the head with a pistol Monday, Dec. 30, on public property in the 400 block of West 18th Street, also known as Coloma Courts, in Rock Falls. The remaining battery charge accuses him of punching the woman in the face and striking her head with a pistol.
The aggravated unlawful use of a weapon charge accuses him of knowingly carrying an uncased and loaded pistol on a public street in Rock Falls and states that the pistol was immediately accessible to him at the time he carried it, according to court documents.
The charges were filed Friday. He remains jailed in Whiteside County.
