STERLING — Savy’s Chic Bridal Boutique has opened a second location at 313 First Ave. in Sterling.
Manager Kelle Bliss said the boutique offers a personalized, intimate experience where brides can find the designer gown of their dreams. It also carries bridesmaids dresses and accessories, such as veils, trains and jewelry.
Savy’s is owned by Sterling native Savana Egan, who opened her Dixon location at 111 S. Hennepin Ave. in 2015. The boutique carries gowns from several top designers, including Stella York, Essence of Australia, Justin Alexander, Maggie Sottero, Eddy K. and Allure.
New clients fill out an online questionnaire and speak with a consultant before their appointment to discuss themselves, their wedding and their vision of the perfect dress. The boutique meets clients by appointment only to provide a private and personalized experience.
“We want to know more about their story and about how they got engaged,” Bliss said. “This helps us get to know them better as a person and provides inspiration in helping them find the right dress.”
Bridal appointments last two hours and are available in one of four tiered packages that include add-ons, such as a bridal bar with mocktails, permanent jewelry and other exclusives that clients can choose from to elevate their experience.
Clients get the boutique to themselves, which features a lavishly decorated viewing area with comfortable seating for the bride’s family and friends to join them and a knowledgeable attendant to listen to client feedback and provide different dresses.
“When a customer leaves, we want them to feel beautiful and confident in their choice,” Bliss said. “The best way to do that is to provide them a lot of variety, make sure we check all their boxes and help them to feel excited about saying yes to the dress.”
Once the perfect dress is found, clients have the option to put down 60% of the purchase price to order the dress, and make their final payment when they pick up the dress, which Bliss said typically takes 5-8 months to arrive.
“We like to recommend that people get in touch with us a year before their wedding,” Bliss said. “This gives people time to try it on and make any needed alterations. However, we’ve had clients that come in and tell us they’re getting married in a couple of months and we make it work.”
Bliss said the Sterling store will also help Savy’s to house its expanded inventory and provide space for its new business, Coco’s Prom and Homecoming, which will be located at the back of the store.
Coco’s offers prom and homecoming dresses, accessories and tuxedo rentals. It will hold a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. Coco’s will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2-6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
