DIXON — No one was injured in an electrical fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon at a Dixon home.
Dixon City firefighters were dispatched at 4:45 p.m. to 841 Sproul St. for a reported light on fire in the home’s upstairs area, according to a news release. Crews arrived on scene to find a bathroom light and vent fan on fire in the upstairs bathroom.
The fire was extinguished and the area was evaluated for extension of fire into the attic space.
Residents had evacuated prior to first responders' arrival. There were no resident or firefighter injuries.
Firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
The Dixon Rural Fire Department, Dixon Police Department and Advance EMS assisted the Dixon City Fire Department.
