Police: Amber Alert issued for 4-year-old girl missing after vehicle she was in stolen in Rock Island

DIXON – lllinois State Police have issued an Amber Alert as they search for a missing 4-year-girl who was alone inside a car when it was stolen in Rock Island.

Blessing J. Aoci was abducted about 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, near the intersection of 14th 1/2 Street and 13th Avenue, Rock Island, Rock Island police said.

She was in the booster seat in the back seat of the mother’s car when her mother left the vehicle running and went inside a residence, according to a news release. The vehicle was stolen and recovered a short time later at Ninth Street at 14th Avenue in Rock Island. The child was missing from the vehicle, police said.

Blessing is Black, weighs 50 pounds and has black hair with twists and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, blue pants and pink boots.
