State Rep. McCombie accepting Valentine’s Day card program donations

SAVANNA – House Minority Leader state Rep. Tony McCombie, R-Savanna, will host the third annual “Valentines for Veterans and Seniors” Card Drive for veterans and senior citizens.

The cards will be accepted through Feb. 7.

Community members, residents, schools and church groups can create Valentine’s Day cards. The cards will be delivered to senior citizens, veterans and senior living facilities.

“Veterans and senior citizens are cherished members of our community, and this program is a small but meaningful way to show them how much we care,” McCombie said in a news release. “Last year, my office received hundreds of cards, and I’m excited to work with our community once again to spread the love this season.”

Cards can be dropped off or mailed to McCombie’s office, 9317B Illinois Route 84, Savanna.
