MORRISON — A Rock Falls woman has been sentenced to 2 years of probation after pleading guilty to one count each of battery and felony criminal trespass to a residence.
Patience A. M. Meyers, 19, pleaded guilty to the charges Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Whiteside County Circuit Court.
Meyers was charged Sept. 12, 2023, with those two offenses as well as felony home invasion causing injury, domestic battery and mob action that accused her of entering a residence in the 800 block of Seventh Street in Sterling and attacking two people. Those three charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.
Meyers also must serve two days in jail, complete 100 hours of community service and an anger management program and pay $2,809, which includes a $1,000 fine.
A second defendant in the case, Kara Flynn, 23, of Kewanee is charged with the same five counts. Flynn’s next pretrial conference is 1:30 p.m. Jan. 29.
