Dixon boys win seventh straight: Friday’s Sauk Valley roundup

Boys basketball

Dixon 62, North Boone 39: Darius Harringon scored 29 points, and Eli Davidson had 20 in the road win for Dixon. The Dukes (19-4, 3-1 Big Northern) have won seven straight games.

Rock Falls 69, Stillman Valley 54: Kuitim Heald scored 18 points, and Austin Castaneda had 17 in the road win. The Rockets (15-6, 3-1 Big Northern) have won four straight games, including three straight on the road.

Moline 72, Sterling 57: The Golden Warriors led 22-20 after the first quarter before the Maroons started to pull away with a 23-12 swing in the second quarter. Nico Battaglia and Kaedon Phillips each scored 14 points for Sterling. Bryce Hartman added 10.

Trey Taylor led Moline with 23 points, and Braden Freeman had 19.

Girls basketball

Morrison 42, Ashton-Franklin Center 21: The Fillies won a second straight game as Camryn Veltrop scored 18 points in her second game back from injury. Kaylee Pruis added 14 points in the win.

Eastland 26, Amboy 18: Olivia Klinefelter had 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Bella Yanos led Amboy with nine points.

Fulton 68, Milledgeville 25: Chloe Wilkin led the Steamers with 17 points in a home win.
