The Sterling Fire Department, Rock Falls Fire Department, Sterling Police Department and CGH EMS were dispatched at 1 p.m. to the Sterling Steel property, 101 Ave. K, for a report of a man under a railcar.
According to a news release from the city of Sterling, as first responders arrived at the scene, they were told by witnesses that the man was pinned. At that time, assistance was requested from the Dixon City and Dixon Rural fire departments for technical rescue team members and equipment.
