Rock Falls Tourism is excited to announce the evolution of its beloved Tour of Lights House Decorating Contest into a bigger and brighter community celebration – the Winter Wonderland House and Business Window Decorating Contests.

The Birdies Fore Boobies Committee proudly presented a donation to Hope Cancer Wellness Center to support breast cancer patients and other individuals served by the center.

The American Legion will be serving roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, roll, vegetable, salad and dessert from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at the Post, located at 1120 W. First St. in Dixon.

Nourish the Journey 5K took place Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, on the Dixon bike path and drew 66 participants ranging from mothers with newborns to those who breastfed decades ago.

Marvel Zhang, of Sterling, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The city of Sterling is hosting an outdoor Christmas decorating contest. Entry dates are Nov. 15 to Dec. 6.

Thomas Gehlbach has enjoyed playing piano for the past 40 years. Gehlbach is going to share that enjoyment by playing in the Phidian Musicale at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at The Next Picture Show, 113 W. First St. in Dixon.  It is free and open to the public.

The Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce welcomes the community to this three-day celebration from Nov. 20-22, 2025. Activities include Holiday Bingo, Christmas Walk, Love Light Reading, $1,000 Giveaway and Grinch Dodgeball.

Rock Falls VFW Post 5418 – Jerry Celletti, also known as The Bunker, has been awarded $957 through the Rock Falls 2025–2026 Façade Improvement Program, provided by Rock Falls Tourism.
