Josette of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary reaches milestone

Josette Kelly, sister of charity with the Blessed Virgin Mary has reached 70 years since taking her vows in Sterling. (Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary)

DUBUQUE, Iowa — Josette Kelly has reached 70 years as a Sister of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

A celebration of jubilation will be held in September. Cards and wishes can be sent to 116 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, Iowa, 52003-7999.

Josette Kelly took her vows from St. Mary in Sterling on Feb. 2, 1951. The former Pat Kelly graduated from Community Catholic High School in Sterling in 1949.

During her ministry, Kelly taught music in elementary school and in college. She was served a worship service accompanist.
