Dixon Public Schools schedules preschool screening

DIXON — Preschool Screenings for children ages 3 to age 5 will be held throughout the year for those in Dixon and Paw Paw. The next session will be 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Friday at Washington School. Call 815-934-9660 to schedule an appointment

The purpose of this screening is to ensure children are reaching developmental milestones.

Children are asked to perform a variety of activities in the areas of concepts, language, and motor skills. Vision and hearing will also be screened for children over the age of 3 if there is a concern.

Parents will be asked to complete social-emotional and self-help questionnaires as well as give permission for the screening to be completed.
