WEST CARROLL — Eight members of the West Carroll FFA competed at the Section 1 proficiency awards Monday at Pearl City High School. Two members, Tom Falk and Taylor Schmoll, won in their respective areas of agricultural sales and veterinarian science.

Also competing for the West Carroll FFA were: Adrianna Barragan in vegetable production placement, Brayden Reagan in wildlife management, Max Eaton in agricultural services, Nathan Veith in dairy production placement, Chloe Neis in food service and Faith Hovious in goat production.

To compete in a proficiency award area, an FFA member must have kept at least a full year of FFA SAE records and interviewed in front of a panel of judges. Both Falk and Schmoll advance to the District 1 competition March 9 at Geneseo High School.
