What class do you find really engaging and why?: I found my anatomy class really engaging. I loved learning about the different body parts and their functions. Learning about the different parts of the brain and what each of them are responsible for was my favorite part of the class. The labs were always super engaging and Mrs. Schlemmer made the class really exciting.

What are your career and post-graduation plans? What school(s) or other instruction, travel or endeavors do you have planned?: I plan on going to college for biomedical engineering. I have not decided at what university yet.

What are your two favorite extracurricular, volunteer or community activities you participate in?: I have loved being a part of Woodlawn Dance Academy’s Competition Team. I have been doing it since I was 8. I have met my best friends through dance. I have learned determination, time management, responsibility and loyalty though dance. Dance is an easy way to just let go. My other favorite activity is being on the high school dance team. I have gained many relationships through it. I loved being able to dance at football and basketball games and then going to the student sections after. This year I got the opportunity to be the captain of the dance team. So I get to choreograph the dances, make the music and plan team dinners.

Please share a moment, group event or activity at school that was meaningful or memorable: During homecoming week this year we had senior sunrise and it was one of my favorite memories of high school. I loved having all of my class together, talking, taking pictures and reminiscing. It made senior year exciting and made me look forward to senior sunset.

What is your hope for the future?: In the future, I hope to be able to travel and see new places. I also hope to have an exciting job.
