MORRISON — Organizers are preparing for the 150th Whiteside County Fair while keeping an eye on COVID-19 developments, spokesman Todd Mickley said in a news release.
The 5-day fair is slated to open on Aug. 17 and conclude Aug. 21, with a carnival, food, games, livestock, harness racing, exhibits, and evening entertainment on tap, Mickley said.
“It was a difficult decision to cancel last year’s fair due to the COVID-19 restrictions, and we are excited for the Fair to return in 2021,” he said.
Officials will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 in the coming months and will adhere to state guidelines and regulations to assist in maintaining the safety for those who attend, he added.
