DIXON — On Saturday, Blues, Brews and BBQ street festival was held on the Dixon riverfront.
In the morning and afternoon, Trinity Cares held a bags tournament to raise funds for Lee County Honor Flight.
Meanwhile, the cooking teams set up their tents, their smokers, grills and anything else they wanted as part of the Triple P barbecue cookoff. Before long they were slow-cooking their choice cut.
Later, attendees began filtering into riverfront after 4 p.m., where they could purchase craft beers, barbecue dinners from vendors and be entertained by a series of blues bands. The Jimmy’s played the main stage first, followed by the Nick Moss Band and the Ghost Town Blues Band.
