Facing rapidly growing demand for its services, West Suburban Community Pantry has appointed Maeven Sipes of Wheaton, formerly of the Northern Illinois Food Bank, as its new CEO.

The changes include a retirement announcement, the elimination of an assistant superintendent position and the addition of an additional principal for the Oregon Elementary School.

Antioch Police Chief Geoffrey Guttschow has been appointed as the village’s actingf administrator following the retirement current administrator Jim Keim.

Libertyville School District 70 Director of Human Resources Peter Theis is the recipient of the Herb Salinger Personnel Administrator of the Year Award given annually by the American Association of School Personnel Administrators.

Rock Falls City Council members on Tuesday unanimously voted to remove the residency requirement from the municipal code, along with a requirement that the city administrator not be an elected official or have served as one within the past year.

Kevin Beirne will assume leadership of Montini Catholic High School, following the tenure of Jim Segredo, who will retire in June after 26 years of service to Montini, and 46 years of service in Catholic education.

Kelly Novotny was appointed as the new assistant principal at Herrick Middle School, and Danielle Bongiorno as the new assistant principal at O’Neill Middle School. Michelle Kovar was appointed as manager of business services.

Montini Catholic High School's new principal will be Chris Tiritilli, with Kevin Beirne moving from the role of principal to Montini's new president.

The award recognizes excellence in encouragement and promotion of music education within Illinois.
