Plans for a 42-unit affordable housing development has been approved in Glen Ellyn

Supporters of the “Build Illinois Homes Tax Credit Act,” modeled after a federal tax credit program, said it would result in over 1,000 affordable housing units being built over its first six years.

Developers and nonprofits looking to bring new affordable housing options to McHenry County could be eligible for a piece of more than $2 million in federal dollars.
