Burlington Central was back in the top 10 and Crystal Lake Central finished 12th at the IHSA Competitive Dance State Finals on Saturday in Bloomington.

Burlington Central, Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South and Jacobs head to the IHSA Competitive Dance State Final Competition Friday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington. The top 12 advance to Saturday's finals.

Burlington Central, Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South and Jacobs all qualified for the IHSA Competitive Dance State Championships next weekend in Bloomington; and more in Saturday's high school sports roundup.

Jacobs won the Fox Valley Conference Competitive Dance Meet last week and heads to the IHSA Sycamore Sectional in Class 3A. Most of the local schools will compete at Sycamore in one of the three classes.

IHSA schools got a bit of good news regarding sports Tuesday as they learned some sports teams may return to practice, and lower-risk sports may be competing next week.
