Area first-round scores and second-round pairings

Oregon junior Daniel Gonzalez ran a personal record of 16 minutes and 32 seconds to qualify for state after placing 17th at the 1A sectional in Rock Island on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024. He was the eighth individual out of 10 to advance to state from the sectional. On the girls side, E-P senior Sarah Link (20:12) ran a PR and took 30th. Oregon (290) was 11th as a team, led by senior Ella Dannhorn’s 20:35, good for 35th place.

Erie-Prophetstown battled undefeated No. 2 Bismarck-Henning late until a tipped pass scored the game-winning touchdown, and Milledgeville advanced in the 8-man playoffs in Saturday's Sauk Valley area football action.

Erie-Prophetstown volleyball took care of business in straight sets against Rock Falls on Thursday night to win its first regional title since becoming a co-op in 2018.

The Riverdale Rams posted their second consecutive regional golf win on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 winning the team title at the 1A Lanark Regional with a 305 score. Fulton finished second with a 314 and Erie-Prophetstown third with a 339. All three teams will play at the Rockford Lutheran Sectional on Monday, Oct. 7 at the Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Club.
