A motion to detain pre-trial a Chicago convicted felon accused of possessing multiple handguns was granted Friday in DuPage County First Appearance Court, prosecutors said.

A Lockport Township man who was previously convicted of possessing an AK-47 rifle has been arrested again on charges alleging he possessed a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic handgun in a vehicle.

Will County Circuit Judge Carmen Goodman found Darrius Brown guilty of three felony charges on Monday, Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Unlawful Restraint with a Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Restraint, in a 2018 attack on his then-girlfriend.
