Emergency crews responded to the scene of a semi truck that struck the overpass of Illinois Route 251 and Interstate 80 on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 in Peru. The incident happened shortly after 7:15a.m. The driver of the semi had to be extricated and taken to OSF in Peru for minor injuries.
