Even in his fourth year in the NBA, Dixon native Isaiah Roby is still experiencing new things this season – his first season with the San Antonio Spurs.

Dixon native Isaiah Roby was back in northern Illinois on Monday night, as he and the San Antonio Spurs visited the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls. The Spurs lost, but Roby doubled his scoring average, and also exceeded his average minutes played and rebounds.

Morrison senior forward Shelby Veltrop broke the girls basketball program’s all-time scoring record last week, and now sits at 1,323 points in her career.

The Amboy and Oregon girls basketball teams picked up victories on the opening night of the Oregon Tip-Off Tournament on Wednesday, while the Sterling, Rock Falls and Newman girls teams lost at the Geneseo Thanksgiving Tournament.

Former Dixon basketball standout Isaiah Roby was waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, and was picked up off waivers by the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, according to ESPN NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.

Early in his third season in the NBA, Dixon native Isaiah Roby was playing limited minutes for the Oklahoma City Thunder and searching for a way to get more playing time. By the end of the 2021-22 season, he had become a fixture in the starting lineup.

Dixon native Isaiah Roby scored 16 points, 10 of those in the first half, and hit all seven of his attempts from the free throw line for Oklahoma City in Monday's 125-122 win in Portland.
