The Sandwich City Council will have some decisions to make after reviewing a report showing it could cost up to $3.15 million to repair the historic Sandwich Opera House.

Cara Killey, who’s served as the Sandwich City Council’s Second Ward Alderman for 15 years, hopes to gain voters’ support again this April. She was the only Sandwich City Council candidate to appear for the forum.

Question: How would you spur economic development in your community? Answer: Relax remodeling requirements in the downtown business district to encourage current businesses and attract new businesses.

During an Oct. 25 council meeting, Alderman Fred Kreinbrink said he’s received “some interesting mail” concerning the golf cart proposal while Alderman Bill Littlebrandt said he has received messages on both sides of the issue.
