Stimulus news
The Sterling City Council designated the last of the city’s American Rescue Plan Act funds Monday, choosing to put the remaining funds toward building demolition costs and a new fire department training center.
The funds were allocated by Congress to the states to be distributed to local governments through the American Rescue Plan.
“My goal was the first money that we get we can hand it to those groups that are based here and working out of here,” said County Board Vice Chairman Matt Kellogg. Exactly how much of the county’s $25 million stimulus will go towards non-profits is still undetermined.
