Velma is an 18-month-old, 70-pound mastiff that a local police department brought to NAWS. Velma loves everyone she meets, including other dogs and cats. Miss Penny is 3-year-old female tabby that was relinquished to NAWS when her previous owners moved and could no longer care for her. She has waited more than a year for a new home. Miss Penny is gentle, quiet and calm. She spends most of her day watching the activity of the other cats at the rescue. She enjoys pets and attention but can be a bit timid initially. Lady is a spunky 10-year-old shepherd mix that was surrendered after her owner died. She loves to go outside to explore and get attention from staff and volunteers.
