Donated food will be given to local food banks

Joliet Police Chief Bob Evans and Deputy Richard Brown unload food donations from the police department’s “Pack the Paddy Wagon” food drive at the Salvation Army in Joliet.

The Joliet Police Department is collecting nonperishable food items for its annual “Pack the Paddy Wagon” campaign through Saturday morning, according to a news release.

The donated food will be given to local food banks. Collection boxes are located in the front lobby at both stations of the Joliet Police Department and at three Joliet businesses during normal business hours.

• Joliet Police Station: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., 150 W Washington St., Joliet.

Joliet Police West Sub-Station: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, 7196 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.

BioLife Plasma Services: 1590 North Larkin Ave., Suite B, Joliet.

Emediate Cure: 1508 Essington Road, Unit 5, Joliet.

Joliet Slammers Stadium: 1 Mayor Art Schultz Drive, Joliet.
