Lincoln-Way Central 44, Lincoln-Way East 42: Korey Cagnolatti made a buzzer-beating shot to give the Knights (6-3, 3-2) the Southwest Suburban Conference win over the Griffins (5-4, 2-2). Cagnolatti finished with 12 ooints, while Lucas Andresen had a team-high 15 for Central.
Coal City 52, Wilmington 29: Dane Noffsinger led the Coalers (6-2, 2-1) to the Illinois Central Eight win with 11 points, while Zander Meents and Dylan Young each scored 10.
Stevenson 70, Lockport 63: Nojus Venckus scored 24 points to lead the Porters (6-4) in the nonconference loss. Collin Miller had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Trace Schaaf had 10 points.
Joliet West 61, Plainfield Central 32: The Tigers (7-2, 4-1) notched the Southwest Prairie Conference win over the Wildcats.
Plainfield South 53, Joliet Central 37: The Cougars (8-1, 4-1) stayed hot with the Southwest Prairie Conference win.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Plainfield Central 51, Streator 39: At the Ottawa Holiday Classic, the Wildcats picked up the win in pool play and will play again in tourney action Friday at 6 against Princeton.
Bolingbrook 42, Minooka 31: The Raiders rallied from a 22-19 halftime deficit to defeat the Indians in Southwest Prairie Conference play.
Joliet Central 53, Plainfield South 39: The Steelmen picked up the Southwest Prairie Conference victory.
