Jack Wheeler had 22 points and Brett Bounds chipped in 18 points for Morris (6-3).
Reed-Custer 41, Indian Creek 37: The Comets surprised the tournament’s No. 3 seed in an opening round win at the Shipyard Shootout in Seneca.
Jacob Reardon paced Reed-Custer (3-9) with 24 points.
Lincoln-Way West 63, Naperville Central 60: Wyatt Carlson poured in 26 points as the Warriors (6-4) picked up a win in the opening round of the Chuck Dayton Classic in DeKalb.
Max Gabriel also had 16 points for Lincoln-Way West.

Plainfield Central 62, Schaumburg Christian 42: The Wildcats (1-11) picked up their first win of the season with a consolation round victory at the Elgin Tournament.
Peotone 57, Momence 28: The Blue Devils (4-7) breezed to victory in the opening round of the Kankakee Holiday Tournament.
Romeoville 74, Addison Trail 56: Danny Thompson led the Spartans with 19 points as they claimed a win in the opening round of the State Farm Holiday Classic.
Seneca 78, Earlville 26: Paxton Giertz pumped in 26 points - surpassing 2,000 for his career - as the Fighting Irish (9-3) coasted in the opening round of their own Shipyard Shootout.
Wilmington 63, Dwight 46: The Dwight Trojans fell behind and couldn’t come back at the Shipyard Shootout in Seneca.
Peoria Manual 76, Plainfield North 74: The Tigers (5-5) saw a double-digit lead disappear in the second half as they dropped an overtime decision at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.
Quintin Wiencek poured in 29 points to lead Plainfield North and Pierre Pointer added 18.

Carmel 50, Providence 45: The Celtics (2-10) came up short in their opening-round matchup at the Maine East Tournament.
Lake Zurich 62, Lemont 52: Lemont faltered in the fourth quarter and dropped its opener at the Jack Tosh Tournament.
Gabe Sularski led Lemont (8-3) with 20 points.
Hinsdale Central 64, Plainfield East 35: The Bengals had a rough go of it in the opening round of the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.
Leslie Nii Apa Pobee had 13 points to pace the Bengals (4-7).
