Morris 75, Plano 45: Morris jumped out to a substantial lead in the first quarter and cruised to a consolation round victory at the Plano Christmas Classic.

Jack Wheeler had 22 points and Brett Bounds chipped in 18 points for Morris (6-3).

Reed-Custer 41, Indian Creek 37: The Comets surprised the tournament’s No. 3 seed in an opening round win at the Shipyard Shootout in Seneca.

Jacob Reardon paced Reed-Custer (3-9) with 24 points.

Lincoln-Way West 63, Naperville Central 60: Wyatt Carlson poured in 26 points as the Warriors (6-4) picked up a win in the opening round of the Chuck Dayton Classic in DeKalb.

Max Gabriel also had 16 points for Lincoln-Way West.

Joliet Catholic 65, Grant Park 45: The Hilltoppers advanced at the Kankakee Holiday Tournament with a comfortable victory.

Jack Superits led Joliet Catholic (5-4) with 13 points.

Minooka 70, York 59: Minooka had three players in double figures during a Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament victory.

Brayden Hairald scored 18 points, Jordan Freeman had 15 and Jaden Boe added 14.

Bolingbrook 56, Hinsdale South 21: JT Pettigrew had 13 points and seven rebounds to help the Raiders to a Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament win.

Coal City 57, Somonauk 34: Dylan Young scored 14 points to lead Coal City (8-2) to a victory in the opening round of the Shipyard Shootout in Seneca.

Lincoln-Way East 69, Newton 45: The Griffins (6-4) coasted to victory in the opening round of the Effingham/Teutopolis Classic.

Plainfield Central 62, Schaumburg Christian 42: The Wildcats (1-11) picked up their first win of the season with a consolation round victory at the Elgin Tournament.

Peotone 57, Momence 28: The Blue Devils (4-7) breezed to victory in the opening round of the Kankakee Holiday Tournament.

Romeoville 74, Addison Trail 56: Danny Thompson led the Spartans with 19 points as they claimed a win in the opening round of the State Farm Holiday Classic.

Seneca 78, Earlville 26: Paxton Giertz pumped in 26 points - surpassing 2,000 for his career - as the Fighting Irish (9-3) coasted in the opening round of their own Shipyard Shootout.

Wilmington 63, Dwight 46: The Dwight Trojans fell behind and couldn’t come back at the Shipyard Shootout in Seneca.

Peoria Manual 76, Plainfield North 74: The Tigers (5-5) saw a double-digit lead disappear in the second half as they dropped an overtime decision at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.

Quintin Wiencek poured in 29 points to lead Plainfield North and Pierre Pointer added 18.

Mendota 63, Gardner-South Wilmington 19: Holden Grimes led Gardner-South Wilmington (1-12) with six points as the Panthers dropped a Plano Christmas Classic consolation game.

Carmel 50, Providence 45: The Celtics (2-10) came up short in their opening-round matchup at the Maine East Tournament.

Lake Zurich 62, Lemont 52: Lemont faltered in the fourth quarter and dropped its opener at the Jack Tosh Tournament.

Gabe Sularski led Lemont (8-3) with 20 points.

Hinsdale Central 64, Plainfield East 35: The Bengals had a rough go of it in the opening round of the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.

Leslie Nii Apa Pobee had 13 points to pace the Bengals (4-7).

Plainfield North 63, Springfield 44: Sydney Scott had 17 points and the Tigers cruised to a State Farm Holiday Classic win.

Kaitlyn Sedillo had 13 and Bella Garcia added 11.

Lockport 43, Carmel 41: The Porters (15-2) survived a potential buzzer-beater from Carmel to advance in the Loyola Christmas Tournament.

Katie Peetz had 13 points and five rebounds, Addie Way had 14 points and Evelyn Ingram had seven rebounds and four assists.

Seneca, 58 Walther Christian 18: Alyssa Zellers had 22 points to lead the Irish to a Lisle Christmas Classic tournament win.

Audry McNabb had nine points and Graysen Provance added seven.

Plainfield South 60, Richards 30: The Cougars dominated in a Sandburg Holiday Tournament win.

Sandburg 76, Romeoville 55: The hosts battled and pulled ahead in Sandburg Holiday Tournament action.

Bolingbrook 66, T.F. South 39: The Raiders came out on top during a Hillcrest Holiday Classic victory.

Bradley-Bourbonnais 56, Reed-Custer 39: Alyssa Wollenzien had 21 points, five rebounds and two steals but the Comets fell in Peotone Holiday Tournament action.

Providence 49, Andrew 41: The Celtics pulled ahead and earned a Sandburg Holiday Tournament victory.

Westmont 32, Coal City 29: The Coalers came up just short in a Lisle Christmas Classic tournament matchup.

Emma Rodriguez had 11 points and Kylee Kennell added 10.

Momence 44, Peotone 29: Peotone dropped a game at home during a Peotone Holiday Tournament game.

Bloom 69, Joliet Central 49: The Hilltoppers battled but fell in Hillcrest Holiday Classic play.

Wheaton Academy 46, Lemont 45: Lemont fought but dropped a Lisle Christmas Classic game.
