Cuts for a Cause cancer fundraiser Monday in McHenry benefits local man and his family

Sport Clips Haircuts of Crystal Lake, Cary and Algonquin have partnered with the Bremer Team of Keller Williams Success Realty for Cuts for a Cause, a fundraising event to benefit resident Kevin Pfeifer and his family from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the Bremer Team’s office, 1218 N. Green St. in McHenry.

Pfeifer recently was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma, and his treatment plan includes surgery and daily radiation, leaving him unable to work for several months. To support Pfeifer and his family, $20 professional haircuts for men and children will be available during the event with all proceeds going directly to help cover medical expenses and provide financial relief.

“Kevin is a cherished friend, neighbor, and devoted family man who has always been there for those around him. It’s an honor to bring the community together to support him and his family during this challenging time,” Dawn Bremer of The Bremer Team said in a news release.

Donations also can be made directly to Pfeifer’s GoFundMe campaign.
