Joliet police are investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday morning.
At 6:04 a.m. Saturday, Joliet police responded to the 300 block of Youngs Avenue in Joliet after receiving a report of shots fired, according to a news release from the Joliet Police Department.
When Joliet police arrived, they found many spent shell casings in the street and a nearby house, which had been struck by multiple rounds of gunfire, according to the release.
One person was inside the house when the shooting occurred but no injuries were reported, according to the release.
Joliet police canvassed the neighborhood but did not find any victims or other property that had ben struck with gunfire, according to the release.
Joliet police detectives are working to identify a suspect or suspects, according to the release.
