6 Joliet high school students, Joliet West choir named ILMEA All-State

Six Joliet Township High School District 204 students and Joliet West’s Concert Choir have been selected to perform as Illinois Music Educators Association All-State musicians in Peoria.

The students selected for the honor are Brian Baron (composition), Lauren Berrios (soprano) and Maximiliano Saenz (bass) of Joliet Central and Charlotte Dean (soprano), Cathryn Governale (bassoon) and Gracie Mitchell (alto) of Joliet West. Baron’s composition has been chosen to be performed at the conference.

The Joliet West Concert Choir will perform at an ILMEA concert at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in the Four Points Sheraton ballroom in Peoria.
