Lewis University in Romeoville opens COVID-19 testing to public

The university offers testing during the week at its Romeoville campus

Lewis University in Romeoville announced it has opened its COVID-19 testing operation to the general public.

The testing takes place in Memorial Hall at the university’s Romeoville campus, located at 1 University Parkway. Testing is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, according to a university social media post.

Walk-ins will be accepted. There are not out-of-pocket costs with insurance or use of federal programs for the uninsured.

Those interested in utilizing the service can register online through Lucid Laboratory Services.

Transmission of COVID-19 in Will County has remained low over the past several weeks, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
