A local group that provides for that strives to improve children’s lives in four key areas recently received a donation from 100+ Women Who Care of Will County.
Members of 100+ Women Who Care of Will County presented a check for $6,000 to Theresa Grzenia, CEO and founder of 4 K.I.D.S. Sake, and board members of the organization on March 19.
100+ Women Who Care of Will County donated $4,000. The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation matched that donation by 50%, for a total of $6,000, a news release from 100+ Women Who Care of Will County, said.
4 K.I.D.S. Sake provides services for children in the area of health and wellness, educational enrichment, financial resourcefulness and happiness, the news release said. The organization added a food pantry and enrichment center in October 2019.
During the pandemic, 4 K.I.D.S. Sake served an average of 1,200 families weekly. From the end of March through 2020, the group served over 100,000 families and over 1.2 million pounds of food. Forty-eight percent of those clients were children.
4 K.I.D.S. Sake is based in Bolingbrook.
