Troy 30-C approves hiring of new administrators

School board approved positions at March meeting

The Troy Community School District 30-C recently approved five administrators and district office employees at its March school board meeting.

All will begin their new roles on July 1 with the exception of Shanice Pagan, who began her role in March, according to a news release from Troy.

Lisa Dallacqua, executive director of curriculum and assessment

Dallacqua is currently the senior executive director of teaching and learning at East Aurora School District 131.

She is the previous principal at Western Avenue School in Flossmoor School District 161. She also previously served at Bloom Township High School in School District 206 as its district coordinator for the history and foreign language departments.

Dallacqua earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature and political science from Kalamazoo College. She also earned a master’s degree in teaching from National Louis University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education.

She also earned a doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dallacqua replaces Kristin Johnson, who will become assistant superintendent of instruction at Mokena School District 159.

Jillian Tsoukalas executive director of instruction and professional development

Tsoukalas is currently executive director for educational services, pre-kindergarten through grade five, at Valley View School District 365U. She also previously served as Valley View’s director of math and science.

In addition, Tsoukalas is the former kindergarten curriculum coordinator and math content specialist for kindergarten through second grade at West Aurora School District 129.

Tsoukalas earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Xavier University. She also earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, as well as a doctor of education degree in teacher leadership from Walden University.

She replaces Jenna Woodland, who will become superintendent of Evergreen Park School District 124.

Patrick Marczewski, assistant executive director of information services

Marczewski began his Troy career in 2014 as a building technology associate. He later became an application and data management specialist.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science, as well as his master’s degree in information security from Lewis University in Romeoville.

Elizabeth D’Andrea, assistant principal of Troy Middle School

D’Andrea is currently a fifth grade teacher at Ludwig Elementary School in School District 92. She has also taught ELA, science and special education at Oak Prairie Junior High School, which is also in District 92.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in applied psychology from the University of Illinois. She also earned a master’s degree in education from St. Xavier University, as well as a master’s degree as a reading specialist from Olivet Nazarene University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

D’Andrea also has holds an LBS1 endorsement.

She will join Troy Middle School assistant principals Mark Peter and Matt Stortz.

Shanice Pagan, payroll and grant specialist

Pagan has a bachelor’s degree in corporate/organizational communications. She also worked several years in human resources and payroll in a corporate setting.

She replaced Kristine Hutten, who is now Troy’s finance director.
