Rezin Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is now Morris Hospital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, according to a news release from Morris Hospital & Healthcare Center.
The independent orthopedic practice completed an affiliation agreement with Morris Hospital & Healthcare Center, which now manages the practice. The new name took effect on June 1, the release said.
The practice includes five doctors, 60 clinicians and support staff. The locations and their phone numbers in Joliet, Morris and Ottawa remain the same, the release said.
Rezin Therapy & Athletic Training, Deerpath MRI and Deerpath Durable Medical Equipment are now also part of Morris Hospital services, the release said.
The affiliation expands Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers range of services, which are offered at 26 locations in Will, Grundy, Kankakee and LaSalle counties. It also expands Morris Hospital’s rehabilitation services, the release said.
Morris Hospital currently offers physical and occupational therapy at locations in Channahon, Diamond-Coal City, Joliet, Ottawa and two sites in Morris, the release said.
Meet the five doctors
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Keith Rezin has been part of the Morris Hospital medical staff since he founded the practice in 1991. Rezin performs a wide range of orthopedic procedures, including sports medicine procedures and joint replacements of the knee, hip and shoulder. Rezin graduated from Rush Medical College and completed his residency at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Dr. Raymond Meyer, a board certified general orthopedic surgeon, began practicing with Dr. Rezin in 1997 after he graduated from Loyola University – Stritch School of Medicine. He completed a residency at Northwestern University Medical School and a Sports Medicine fellowship at Minneapolis Sports Medicine. Meyer focuses on arthroscopic surgery and injuries related to sports medicine with an emphasis on shoulder and knee reconstruction.
Dr. Mir Ali, a board certified orthopedic spine surgeon, joined the practice in 2013 and developed the Deerpath Spine Institute at Rezin Orthopedics. Ali specializes in conservative, non-surgical and surgical treatment of neck and back disorders. Ali graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota and a spine surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, Midwest Orthopedics
Dr. Kyle Pearson, a board certified reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon, joined the practice in 2014 after completing his residency in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Pearson developed the Deerpath Foot and Ankle Institute at Rezin Orthopedics.
Dr. Robert Williams, a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with sub-specialization in shoulder and elbow surgery, joined the practice in 2020.
Williams graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Science, College of Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and his fellowship at University of Pennsylvania.
The Joliet office is located at 1310 Houbolt Road. The Morris office is located at 1051 W. U.S. Route 6. The Ottawa office is located at 1306 Gemini Circle, Suite 2.
Rezin sees patients in the Morris and Ottawa offices. Meyer, Ali, Pearson and Williams see patients at all three locations.
