Edward-Elmhurst Health opens walk-in clinic in Crest Hill

Edward-Elmhurst Health recently opened a walk-in clinic in the same location where it offers primary care, phyisical therapy, rehabilitation and neuroscience care.

The walk-in clinic, which is located at 16151 Weber Road, Suite 201 in Crest Hill, will be open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, according to a news release from Edward-Elmhurst Health.

The clinic is staffed by board-certified, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants, according to the release. Most major insurance plans are accepted, but self-pay options also are available.

A number of conditions that can be treated include:

· Minor illness or injury care for patients 1 year and older

· Cold/flu symptoms, fever, cough, sore throat, earache/infection, sinus infection

· Skin conditions (acne, cold sores, lice, eczema, rashes, impetigo, poison ivy, ringworm, scabies, shingles)

· Allergies/minor allergic reactions and minor asthma

· Urinary tract infections and bladder infections

· Eye irritation/redness, pink eye and styes

· Wellness exams (school, camp, basic employment)

· Vaccinations
