Linda Chellino of Joliet and Tanja Conte of Shorewood, who chair the holiday food shopping, had received names of children and families in need in Joliet Public Schools District 86. Members also “signed hundreds of Christmas cards to the families to spread holiday cheer,” the release said.

Barbara Bolek of Shorewood brings requests of assistance from individuals or families to the V and A board, according to the release. Aid is immediately distributed once the request is approved. The society also contributes to other Joliet charitable organizations, according to the release.
