Will County Humane Society to host annual Fur Ball on May 20

Individual, double seating and table pricing for the event at Harrah’s Joliet.

Help make life a little less “ruff” for animals at Will County’s oldest no-kill shelter while they are waiting for their forever homes.

The Will County Humane Society will host its annual Fur Ball at 6 p.m. May 20, 2022 at Harrah’s Joliet.

Event features include dinner, music, raffles and trivia. All proceeds directly benefit the care of the shelter’s animals and property. The 501(3)(c) not for profit shelter, which relies solely on donations to operate the facility, according to a news release from the shelter.

The Will County Humane Society was founded more than 40 years ago by Avril “Babe” Baker of Troy Township (deceased), according to a 2011 An Extraordinary Life story.

“Every day of the year we care for up to 30 homeless dogs and 60 cats looking for their forever homes. We provide for their general health care, shelter and well being through our network of volunteers and resources,” the humane society wesbite said.
