Habitat for Humanity to host Will County Beer & Bourbon Fest

60 local breweries expected to participate

Habitat for Humanity will host its inaugural Will County Beer & Bourbon Fest on May 21 at Hollywood Casino, Joliet, according to a news release from Habitat for Humanity.

The event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. and feature more 100 craft beers from local brewers, a wide variety of bourbons, food, live music, raffles and VIP area, according to the release. Guests also will see the construction of wall frames on site as part of Will County Habitat for Humanity’s 2022 Women Build, according to the release.

Tickets are $50 before April 16 and $65 after April 16 and at the door.

VIP tickets are $75 and will include admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as a “commemorative glass, upgraded samples of beer and bourbon and private seating area,” according to the release.

Proceeds will help support veteran homeownership, according to the release.

“A safe and stable home is vital for the success of a family,” Nicole Murray, executive director of Will County Habitat for Humanity, said in the release. “Homeownership allows families to save more, invest in education, live in healthier environments and have more financial stability. So supporting this event not only helps a family, it is an investment in our community.”
