Six local teams earned a spot in the IHSA Large Team State Competitive Cheerleading finals.
Joliet West, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East, Lincoln-Way West, Lockport and Minooka will participate in the Coed Team semifinals which begin Friday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
Qualifying teams will compete again in Saturday’s finals if they reach the qualifying standard set Friday.
Lincoln-Way West

Lincoln-Way West and Minooka shared the championship at the Edwardsville Sectional, as both posted an indentical score of 91.23.
