It's been an up-and-down season for Lincoln-Way West co-op's boys lacrosse team, but Saturday saw the Warriors put forth one of their top efforts with a 10-2 South Suburban Conference win over Oak Forest co-op.

Providence Catholic continued one long track and field tradition in the pole vault and had a huge performance in the shot put on Friday at the IHSA 2A State Track & Field finals. Sophomore Natalie Papes placed seventh in the pole vault with a jump of 10 feet, 10¾ inches. The Celtics have a long tradition of medaling at the state meet in this event, with Sam Spencer winning in 2019.
