Lockport put itself in position to capture its first SWSC girls basketball championship by outlasting Lincoln-Way West 51-47 in overtime on Tuesday evening at Lockport.

The Coal City girls basketball team got a 21-point first half from Kylee Kennell, setting the stage for them to comfortable earn their 20th win of the season against Herscher Monday night.

The Lincoln-Way West girls basketball team has had a very good season despite two key players committed to college for a different sport.
