Pedestrian killed in 6 Corners CVS parking lot: cops

A pedestrian was apparently struck by a vehicle and killed early Thursday morning in the parking lot of the 809 Plainfield Road, police said.

A Joliet man was apparently struck by a vehicle and killed in the parking lot of the CVS near Six Corners early Thursday morning, police said.

The Will County Coroner’s office identified the dead man as 39-year-old Alec Langellier.

Langellier was hit by a car driven by a 77-year-old man who entered the parking lot from Plainfield Road about 4:30 a.m., according to a statement released Thursday morning by the Joliet Police Department.

“The pedestrian became trapped under the vehicle,” police said. “Despite attempted lifesaving measures, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
