On April 12, the Secretary of State Mobile Driver Services Unit and I-Cash will be at the Troy Township Community Center, located at 25448 Seil Road, Shorewood.
Troy Township has partnered State Rep. Larry Walsh Jr., D-Elwood to offer these events, according to a news release from Troy Township.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the mobile driver services unit will offer Illinois residents the opportunity to renew their driver’s licenses and obtain duplicate or corrected licenses and Illinois identification cards, according to the release.

REAL ID’s will not be available. Only a Secretary of State facility can issue them, according to the release. Also, no written or behind the wheel driving tests will be offered at the mobile unit.
A Rules of the Road review course is tentatively scheduled to be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The course covers safe driving techniques, Illinois driving laws and a practice written exam. To register for the course, call 815-744-1963.
In addition a representative from I-Cash will be available to help attendees learn if they have unclaimed property, according to the release.
Unclaimed property may include “checking and savings accounts, uncashed wage and payroll checks, uncashed stock dividends and stock certificates, insurance payments, utility deposits, etc. Unclaimed property does not include real estate or vehicles, according to the release.
