Plainfield Shorewood Chamber of Commerce to host Halloween Spooktacular

Plainfield — The Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating Halloween with a family-friendly Spooktacular on Oct. 28 in downtown Plainfield, featuring more than a dozen local businesses.

The Spooktacular will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Plainfield and feature trick-or-treating at 16 shops and offices, free pumpkins at DNA Active Lifestyle Outfitter, a photo booth and haunted word games at the Plainfield library, a haunted house at Cally Larson Real Estate, spider “Boo-kays” and coloring sheets at Village Flower Shop, and a photo op and games for kids at Re/Max Ultimate Professionals.

There will be food booths and vendors set up for shopping at the corner of Lockport and Des Plaines streets. Special sales and menu items also will be available at a handful of downtown businesses, including discounts at Be of Good Juju and J. Joho Boutique, as well as $4 pizza slices at Big Sammy’s Italian, and special seasonal menu items and cocktails at Moe Joe’s and Next Whiskey Bar.
