A Joliet teenager has been charged with four additional counts of burglary and two counts of criminal damage to property following the investigations related to burglaries of local businesses, Joliet police said

A Joliet man was arrested after allegedly stealing a car and then fleeing Joliet police

The incident was reported on Monday in the 200 block of Munroe Street in Joliet.

Charges were filed last week against a Plainfield Township man following a Will County Sheriff’s Office investigation of a shooting that was reported on June 5.

The Morris Police Department said Thursday that officers have arrested Teveon Wallace, 29, of Joliet, after he fled police during a traffic stop.

Officers responded to the shooting on Dec. 6 in the 500 block Ohio Street in Joliet.

A Mokena man will remain in jail under the SAFE-T Act following a Dec. 3 alleged domestic battery incident that led to a large police respinse.

Joliet's police chief said his investigations division “continues to record higher than a 90% clearance rate on homicide offenses over a three-year period.”

A Wilmington mother has been charged with desecration of her infant daughter, who was born in a toilet and then buried in a beer box. Cause of child's death not yet known.
