Crest Hill police are investigating a report of a shooting that reportedly took place on Monday evening at Cedarwood Drive and Bicentennial Avenue.
There were no reports of injuries, said Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark.
About 5:15 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the shooting and recovered shell casings, Clark said. There were potentially three vehicles that involved in the incident, he said.
Clark didn’t have information on the suspects involved or a description of the vehicles.
“It’s an ongoing investigation and we’re following up,” Clark said.
About 5:20 p.m., Joliet police were contacted to conduct traffic control for Crest Hill police while they investigated the shooting, said Joliet police Sgt. Dwayne English.
Crest Hill police had Cedarwood Drive blocked off from Theodore Street to Bicentennial Avenue. The police also had Bicentennial Avenue blocked off from both Cedarwood Drive and Rock Run Drive.
