A 9-year-old who was reported missing has been found, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff officials initially sought the public’s help in locating Nalaya Patterson-Dean, who was reported missing by her extended family after losing contact with her Sept. 15, according to a news release from the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Patterson-Dean had also been absent from school since that date.
On Monday evening, sheriff officials said the Patterson-Dean “has been found and has been checked by local law enforcement.”
